Exporting your firm's data

Updated

No lock-in is a design principle here: everything your firm puts into Mylo Prime can come back out in usable formats.

What you can export

  • Documents — original files, organized by matter.
  • Matters and contacts — structured exports (CSV) of case and contact data.
  • Billing records — invoices, payments, and trust ledgers, suitable for your accountant.
  • Communications — call logs, transcripts, and portal message history.

Routine exports

You don’t need a reason to export — some firms keep periodic local copies as part of their own retention practices. Exports are available to firm admins from the relevant sections of the portal.

Leaving Mylo Prime

We’d rather fix whatever’s driving you away — tell us — but if you’re going, the process is straightforward: export your data while your subscription is active (access continues through the end of your paid period), confirm you have what you need, then cancel from billing settings. For large firms or complex migrations, ask support for a full export; we’ll assemble a complete archive rather than making you click through section by section.

Retention and deletion

After cancellation, your data doesn’t vanish instantly — there’s a wind-down period so a lapsed card doesn’t destroy a firm’s records, and backups age out on their own schedule. If you require affirmative deletion on a timeline (for example, to satisfy a client obligation), make the request explicitly via support or [email protected] and we’ll confirm in writing when it’s done.

A note for your successor systems

Structured exports are designed to be importable elsewhere. If a vendor tells you they can’t import a CSV of your matters, that says more about them than about your data.
